Position Overview: As a Workshop Technician, you will play a key role in preparing boats for handover to customers, conducting GRP repairs, fitting to customer specifications, and refurbishing pre-owned boats. Heavy lifting is sometimes necessary as we load and pack shipping containers of sailing boats and accessories. Your flexibility and positive, customer-focused attitude will contribute to building strong business relationships and boosting our overall success.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Preparation of new boats to customer specifications. 
• Detailed refurbishment of pre-owned boats. 
• Gelcoat repairs. 
• Rope work & rigging. 
• Packaging and labelling products before dispatch. 
• Assisting in shipping over 1500 boats annually. 
• Unloading/loading of lorries. 

Essential Skills: 

• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks. 
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently. 
• Reliability and flexibility. 
• Efficient work ethic without constant supervision. 

• Strong communication skills. 
• Basic paperwork completion abilities. 
• Knowledge of small sailing craft. 
• Willing to learn new skills. 

Desirable Skills: 

• Forklift truck experience. 
• Experience in GRP repairs. 
• Splicing & rigging expertise.
