Junior PR Manager – Farnborough

This is a full time role but would also consider part time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of all PR activity, aligned to the content and campaign calendar
  • To respond to all incoming media enquiries
  • Prepare press releases
  • Build relationships with a view to driving the brand
  • Drafting media statements, monitoring or dissemination of information. Note this will require being on call out of hours on rotation with the Senior Marketing Communications Manager
  • To build strong relationships with key journalists to ensure opportunities for media coverage
  • To report on PR activities to the business, continually seeking the most efficient ways to measure and improve on effectiveness
  • Maintain the online press centre ensuring all releases are posted, news items relevant, images fresh etc.
  • Attend, organise and host media events
  • Working with the Senior Manager to seek out brand ambassadors, influencers and media partnership opportunities and build relationships
  • Help secure funding from tourist boards
  • To manage PR budget and ensure accurate forecasting and spend throughout the year
  • To oversee the creation of all marketing activity
  • Work with the charity partnerships, coordinate marketing activity to support these initiatives

What you need

  • Marketing, PR or Media qualification or degree is desirable
  • Competent using Content Management Systems
  • Experience in a PR role / marketing communications environment
  • Proven media contacts
  • Creative thinker
  • Experience in managing budgets is desirable
  • Travel industry experience is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven skills in proof reading and copy editing
