We have an exciting new opportunity within the University of Chichester, Institute of Sport. We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to provide support for the delivery of a health evaluation of an EU funded project called Sexual Health in Over Forty Fives (SHIFT). SHIFT aims to empower this age group to participate in sexual health services & improve their sexual health & wellbeing, with an additional and specifically adapted focus on socio-economically disadvantaged groups such as those not living in secure accommodation, migrants and sex workers across the 2Seas area. Insight gathering and testing existing evidence will be central to the project delivery and act as the foundation for co-creating a service redesign of the healthcare systems currently in place. Existing services in the region will be adapted to provide services that are appropriately suited to these groups. The project is being delivered by partner organisations in the UK (East Sussex and Kent), France, Belgium and the Netherlands.


This role will support the principal researcher in the delivery of a comprehensive evaluation of the project. The Research Assistant will have responsibility for participant recruitment, data collection, data collation and undertake administrative tasks to support the successful delivery of the project. They will also assist the researchers involved with data analysis, literature reviews, report writing.


The successful candidate will have a Masters level qualification in a subject related to health and wellbeing. Knowledge of and experience using qualitative and quantitative methods in health evaluation is desirable.


This role is a three year fixed term contract, subject to funding.
