The University of Chichester Academy Trust is a growing, dynamic and innovative Trust which supports 15 schools (860 staff) in West Sussex and Hampshire. We are a growing small central Finance team and have a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the team.


As a lead officer you will need to have professional experience, skills and knowledge and with a personal commitment to deliver excellence, and a passion for making a difference.


Based at our Bognor Regis Campus and visiting our academies on a regular basis, this position will play an important part in contributing to the strategic aims of the Trust. Providing a professional, high-level accountancy function, assisting with budget preparation, management accounts preparation and reporting to the Local Governing Body. The work will be exacting, challenging, varied, rewarding, stimulating and demanding.


You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), with a minimum of 2 years Finance experience in an SME or equivalent organisation. You will have a broad range of finance and accountancy skills, the ability to develop positive and professional working relationships, be able to explain complex financial information in easy understandable language, able to multi-task, accurate, organised and willing to support the skills development of colleagues in the team and the Business Managers.
