We are looking for a versatile, flexible Grounds Technician with recent grounds and sporting pitch experience to join our supportive and friendly Estate Management Team. This "hands on" role is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of Estate Management Sporting Pitch activities providing technical expertise and advice on soils. Seeds, pitch improvement and maintenance.

This role will work as part of our small in-house Gardening team and be required to undertake a range of gardening and grounds responsibilities with specific responsibility to ensure all our pitches and grounds are of the highest quality. The post holder will liaise closely and regularly with colleagues in the University''s Institute of Sport and with the Students Union. You must be proactive, well organised and accurate with a customer focused, helpful and flexible approach to work.

This role will involve working outside in all weathers across a large site, lifting and moving soils, large bags of fertilizers and using a range of equipment including ride-on mowers strimmers and hedge cutters. The post holder will use specialist equipment and will be expected to carry out routine maintenance of such equipment in order that it remains fully functional at all times.
