An Admissions Officer is required to work within the University Admissions Centre (UAC). The University Admissions Centre is responsible for the admission of students to our undergraduate and taught postgraduate courses and receives around 35,000 applications each year.
Admissions Officers are responsible for making decisions on applications, liaising with academic staff, applicants and other relevant University services as well as provide the best quality service to all applicants and staff and to external customers e.g. UCAS, schools and colleges.
The successful candidate will join a friendly team who place a very strong emphasis on efficiency, fairness and excellent service in all aspects of our work.
Candidates are required to have a sound knowledge of admissions (ideally in a Higher Education environment) and excellent customer service skills are essential.
