If so then I would like to hear from you. The current requirement for a Senior Microbiologist will be working in a picturesque location in Dorset for a cosmetic manufacturing company.

The Role:-

As Senior Microbiologist you will be managing a small team to ensure that the company's products released for sale meet all required Microbiological quality standards and comply with current relevant legislations.

You will be in a position to use your skills and experience to help further develop your team maximising efficiency and driving a continuous improvement ethos throughout your department.

As Senior Microbiologist you will be performing and leading your team in testing incoming materials, manufactured bulk and final products, investigate contamination issues and review all investigations, testing and records analysis to ensure these processes can be evaluated for continuous improvement purposes.

Other areas that you will be involved with are liasing internally regarding cleaning and validation protocols, ensuring compliance to ISO standards 9000, 7025,[please apply by clicking on the blue button on this web page] &[please apply by clicking on the blue button on this web page] and adhering to FDA, HACCP and GMP standards.

Experience of assisting with audits and both internal and third party/suppliers will be part of your core skill set as well as performing risk assessments.

Skills & Experience:-

You will of course be educated with the minimum of a degree in or the equivalent of Microbiology and have previously worked in a Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical or Food & Beverage (F&B) FMCG environment for several years at least.

Due to the nature of this role your communication skills (both written and verbal) and organisational/analytical skills will be utilised daily to manage both yours and your teams workloads to ensure that sample testing is completed to schedule as not to impact production.
