Are you looking for a Technical Manager role supporting a field team of 5/6 regional BDM's selling a diverse product range into multiple industries across Europe? If so then we have a Technical Manager role on for a highly profitable and very secure manufacturer at one of their sites in Hampshire currently turning over £9million with ambitions to turnover £15M within the next few years.

In this role you will play a key part in site strategy by organising and driving the technical and engineering teams to support the regional sales agenda. Based (5 days a week) at their recently purchased New Milton site, this role offers great autonomy, a chance to join a rapidly growing and highly successful global manufacturer turning over c£50M who have recently been awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade. Tell me more about the role? As a Technical Manager you will manage the provision of all technical support to the BDMs working closely with a Divisional Sales Manager, Internal Sales Manager, customer Service manager and Operations Manager, you'll report into the GM and be a member of the senior management team. This site manufactures polymeric and metallic filtration products to a diverse range of industries from oil & gas, through food and beverage to pharmaceuticals, they even supply Formula 1 teams – this diverse range ensures security and has bred significant company growth. The right candidate must have a technical engineering background to successfully support the sales team and work closely with engineering. As part of the 'centre of excellence' team you will drive success and form an integral part of this company's strategy moving forwards.

What do I need? Man management skills and motivational skills are a given, as well as coming from a technical engineering background working heavily with sales professionals and engineering. A degree in chemical or mechanical engineering would be great or in a relating subject. Strong organisational skills, leading and presenting skills are also important as well as having the capacity to become an expert in market sectors.
