We have a rare Supply Chain Manager role on near to Southampton in Hampshire due to forthcoming retirement. Offering a salary up to 55k plus a maximum bonus of 20% on top, this role not only pays very well but most importantly this role will offer you autonomy and a chance to join a well established and prestige manufacturer with change management and a focus on making a difference really important to the employer.

In this role the Supply Chain Manager will support a team of 9 professionals which includes an apprentice, a relatively new recruit from last year and a great combination of men and women all going that extra mile to support the Supply Chain process.

So what will be my main duties?

Reporting in to the Sales and Marketing Director you will fundamentally be accountable for ensuring the company meet customer delivery requirements within defined cost and budget.

This is a very engaging role where you'll be a great leader with great influencing skills and be able to challenge present operations, change management is key.

You'll ensure customers receive their deliveries on time and in full, that's a given, you'll get involved in strategy with regards to sales and operational planning, 3rd party sourcing, defining raw material and finished good inventory strategies and look at haulier management and ultimately the management of the customer service function. You'll really have a great opportunity to review their current processes with ideas for change welcomed with the employer happy to support ideas and new ways of thinking.

So what do I need?

This is a senior role so you'll need to have good experience within supply chain management already. You'll have a natural drive to meet customer demands, strong cross functional communication and influencing skills. The company are a manufacturer so coming from a manufacturing or production background is beneficial. With the current incumbent due to retire this is an opportunity to make this role your own and the company are particularly keen to see supply chain professionals keen to implement change management, so being highly driven and committed on top of having the right level of experience is critical.
