Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking for your next role with an exciting Global Oil and Gas company who are the largest in the world in their field? If you're a Quality professional with a background in high end quality engineering with drive, motivation and understanding of Quality tools and processes then this could be the perfect role for you. The company are a highly successful manufacturer and are developing a new R&D site in the Southampton area where this position will be based.

The Role:-

The position will see you providing quality support to the production department ensuring the integrity of the components and products and drive quality improvements with a goal of "Zero Defects".

You will be an integral part of the team who are responsible for New Product Qualification and Validation, Optimize Process Capability and Champion Quality Improvements.

You will be working in a team of 4 and liaising with internal departments and suppliers so strong communication skills and the ability of forging relationships with prestige customers, suppliers, auditors and internal departments will come naturally to you whilst ultimately ensuring product compliance is in line with expectations.

Skills:- What do you need? Naturally you will be a strong and confident communicator with drive and motivation – but the MUST HAVE'S for this position are Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

A good 2 years' experience with Inspection Equipment and quality tools such as pFMEA and problem solving tools such as six sigma, 8D and 5Y will be at the core of your skills set that you will have developed in the Automotive industry.

Knowledge and experience of Chemical Quality Standards is required as you will be conducting/assisting audit and writing reports. Area's of focus for this role will include performing reject analysis, root cause analysis and creating CAPA's.

If you have a Quality Certification or a member of the Quality Institute and have experience of Minitab then you will have a strong advantage for this role but is not essential.
