Paralegal – Real Estate

A Fantastic Opportunity for Progression!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Paralegal to assist our Client's Conveyancer with plot sales and bespoke residential conveyancing matters.

The key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Putting together Contract Packs for sales, including completing key details on Contracts, Leases and Transfers.
  • Chasing relevant parties by phone and email to update clients regularly.
  • Providing administrative support, where needed, with file set up work.
  • Assisting with pre-completion formalities including the preparation of completion statements and engrossment documents for signature.
  • Continually increasing your legal knowledge and putting this into practice to help reach department targets.
  • Raising any issues which arise to the Supervisor and showing the ability to help others to assist the team in reaching targets.
  • Responding to customer enquiries from new and existing clients providing information about the services which can be provided.
  • Understand the practice and importance of complying with and promoting firm-wide / Solicitors Regulation Authority procedures.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and computer literate. They must have a high level of communication skills and a keen eye to detail. It is important to be analytical and have problem solving abilities with a capability to learn.

You must –

  • Have a desire to go above and beyond expectations using your own initiative.
  • Have a creative approach to problem solving, overcoming challenges, despite hurdles and resolve challenges consistent with LA's values and ways of working.
  • Have excellent time management.
  • Possess good marketing and business development skills at all levels.

Hours: A minimum of 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5.30pm with a one hour lunch break per day.

Based in Southampton office but travel to Bournemouth and London office may be required.
