Compliance Officer - Poole - Salary up to £22,500
Our client are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join them initially on a 6 month fixed term contract but this role could go permanent. This role will be responsible for all aspects of governance, compliance, audit, relationship management with legislative organisations including CQC, CCG and the preparation of briefings.
Duties:
·Ensure the organisation's compliance with Care Quality Commission and associated legislation, working with and through specialist staff internally, including identification of any changes in requirements, from the CCG and CQC and other legislation and potential impact on policy and practice and advising senior staff accordingly. To develop systems to evidence compliance.
·Responsible for in-house Policies and Procedures and their update and development, and to ensure the preparation and the issuing of the documents to the manuals.
·Ensure all Policies and Procedures are updated in line with regulatory and legislative changes and reviews are made by the due dates and to update manuals and associated records accurately.
·Annually, ensure regulatory compliance within contractual changes for services with the CCG and other regulatory bodies and advise staff accordingly.
·Ensure organisational compliance with data protection legislation and regulations and advise senior management accordingly.
·Be responsible for ensuring internal audits are completed, both clinical and non-clinical and all associated paperwork, matrices, and diary logging is up to date and maintained at all times.
·To undertake internal audits as requested by the CEO or the Finance and Operations Manager.
·Completion of statistical requirements for regulatory bodies and ensure these are submitted by the due date, liaising with the appropriate Exec member.
·Investigate breaches of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and Standards of Conduct by evaluating and reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager. Develop and operate a system for the handling of such breaches.
·Identifies potential areas of compliance, vulnerability and risk. In conjunction with the Finance and Operations Manager to develop and implement action plans for resolution of identified issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in future.
Experience Required:
·Knowledge of current legislative and regulatory framework in relation to Health and Social Care.
·A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
·Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
·Experience at appropriate level within a related field.
