Claims Advisor - Salary of £20,000 - Poole
Our client, a health insurance company based in Poole are currently recruiting for a Medical Claims Advisor to join their team. You will be dealing with claims for medical treatment costs so the role requires an empathetic and sensitive manner towards the customer. Previous experience of working within an insurance background is essential.
Duties:
·Receive and assess claims documentation in order to establish whether the claim is covered by the policy. ·If further information is needed, obtain the information by contacting the customer or the medical provider.
·Validate the claims against policy terms and conditions and prepare the final paperwork for acceptance or declinature.
·Process the claims payment through internal systems in line with agreed authority levels.
·Communicate all progress and decisions to the customers accurately and in a timely manner.
·Maintain accurate records of all claims activity on the internal files and systems.
·Assist/deal with ad-hoc projects as required by Technical and Claims Manager.
Experience Required:
·Current experience of working in an insurance based, customer services environment, ideally a health insurance company but the company will also consider candidates from other general insurance backgrounds.
·Computer literate.
·Able to work well under pressure.
25 days holiday per year plus the Bank Holidays.
Working hours are 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.
